Traditional, short (to the knee) and knee-length lederhosen with matching straps or belt, high-quality embroidery and in different colours. Have you never worn real Bavarian lederhosen? Try it out and you will be amazed - many of our customers are so convinced that they would love to buy the trousers afterwards, but they will definitely keep coming back! The shorts are more comfortable, have more leg room and you'll feel like you've been wearing them your whole life, whether with a classic stirrup strap or even more comfortably with a belt. Knee breeches are a little tighter and are sometimes used in more formal areas (traditional costume and music clubs), definitely but a very traditional outfit, complete with a strap or a braid.
Lederhosen often accompany a real Bavarian man through life longer than his own wife! This is why the more worn the better! The patina and embroidery show the status of the wearer. Book mass-produced goods are useless and are disdainfully punished by connoisseurs with disrespect and the person inside is recognised as a "Zuagroaster"!
You have to choose between a short (knee-length) "Kracherten" or a pair of waistband leather trousers. The latter go over the knee, are tighter at the leg and are laced at the bottom - not for professional footballers with strong thighs!
The length is otherwise purely a matter of taste and doesn't reveal any secrets (like the bow on the girls) - if you opt for braces: they stay up all evening! And the shirt stays in the trousers! Even after the eighth measurement! If in the evening - after the Schweinshaxn - it starts to pinch: you can continue the waistband in the back middle with the leather straps as needed.
Shoes: Sneakers are comfortable, but you don't wear your jogging pants with patent leather shoes, so the Haferl shoe is the only accepted footwear for traditional costume! It was originally made from just one piece of leather. The name comes from Haferl = mug, because its shape is reminiscent of it. Always wear leather trousers and Haferl shoes with traditional stockings, otherwise it looks funny!
